Update 06-07-2018: Yes, the June 2nd weather looked good from the ground looking up but one of our pilots flew that morning and reported in-flight visibility was hazy and limited, cloud height was 2,000 feet and the ride was bumpy. These were not the best conditions for a safe and fun Young Eagle Rally.
Now that we are at the onset of summer many of our members have family vacations, sport tournaments and other obligations that make it very difficult for us to coordinate a Young Eagle Rally until this fall.
If you would like to arrange an individual Young Eagle ride or a small group of up to 10 Young Eagles, please contact me directly by phone or email and I will arrange a flight with one of our pilots.
Enjoy your summer.
Don't forget about the Simsbury Fly-In on September 23rd. http://www.simsburyflyin.com/home/
Do to the unfavorable weather forecast for tomorrow, June 2nd, 2018, Charlie and I have decided to cancel tomorrow Young Eagle Rally. We waited longer than usual to make a go no-go decision for our event, but the weather forecasts are quite varied. Tomorrow we can expect the same weather we have experienced today (June 1st) including morning fog, low ceilings, passing rain squalls and thunderstorms. These conditions are not favorable to a positive flight experience for our Young Eagles.
